Any person with a license expiration date of July 1, 2013 or after will need to comply with continuing education requirements. A licensed construction supervisor must acquire a certain number of continuing education hours each 2 year renewal period based upon license category.

The maximum number of hours required for any given licensee is 12 hours, regardless of how many categories appear on the license card. A person who is licensed in a specialty category, whether one, two or all six, needs only to achieve the requisite 6 hours of continuing education credit. However, please remember that each license category requires certain content to be covered during trainings, such as workplace safety and lead safe practices.

Prior to becoming a Building Inspector, Tim traveled the country overseeing many large commercial and residential projects. Tim’s background spans many years along with his knowledge of construction gaining him prestigious positions; a seat on the district board of the International Code Council; a former President of the Southeastern Massachusetts Building Officials and a seat on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Federation of Building Officials being the chairman of its Legislative Committee. Tim has also spent the good part of the last fifteen years as an instructor for those aspiring to attain their Unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License.
Paul left the contractor business in 2009 after some 25 years. He has built homes on single lots and has been a partner in the development and construction of subdivisions. Paul has built light-commercial buildings, build-outs and has done remodeling projects. Paul brings years of experience in the contracting business as well as experience as a building inspector. Also having a background in education, Paul has a way of explaining things that is always entertaining.
